| Description | Greater flies are about 3' tall, but they tend to be hunched to about 1.5'. They have a single pair of wings, and a pair of halteres derived from these that provide balance. They have huge, compound eyes and stubby antennae. They are otherwise widely varied. Often times, they stink. Their children are huge maggots. |
| Procreation | With each other, mostly. Halfbreeds are rare and almost always with other arthropodals. |

| Special Powers | Greater flies live only about 15 years. They are very strong for their size, they can walk along ceilings and up walls, and they can eat almost anything. Their buzzing is a painful, cacophonous noise. |

| Culture | They are the bottom of almost any society, and they are an envious race. They want what their betters have, and it is rare that a greater fly doesn't live a life aping his or her betters in whatever society they are in. As such, they tend to be servants and other lower income occupations, but they live above their means. |
