Ern's breath flowers change colors and forms as the seasons pass. The fragrances also change:
- Thaw: Blue petals, closed, smells of water
- Rebirth: Silver petals, slightly open, smells of blood
- Spring: Green petals, blossoming, smells refreshing
- Beltane: Red petals, wide open, smells peppery
- Summer: Golden petals, doubled, smells sweet
- Harvest: Amber petals, bearing fruit, smells of honey
- Autumn: Blue petals, falling off, smells bad
- Fallow: No petals, smells rotting
- Winter: White petals, budding, smells of ash
