| Race | Dre-ka'ar |
| Over-race | Ka'ar |
| Classification | Pseudohuman |
| Family | Servant |
| Sphere | Fire |
| Origin | Praithur made them from a candle's flame |
| Lifespan | 70-100 years |
| Habitat | All over Shem, though originally, the deserts |
| Food | Normal human diet, but generally well cooked & very little water. They will never drink pure water. |
| Description | They appear to be hairless humans, until a shadow passes over them, at which point a fiery aura will appear. Their aura is a bright orange color. |
| Procreation | With each other, they produce other dre-ka'ar. With other ka'ar, it follows the mother. With other pseudohumans, it follows the mother. Varies with other races, either halfbreeds or no issue. |
| Magic | 1/1000000 have soul magic, 1/1000000 have heart magic. Mind, body, & void are all possible. Faith is not uncommon. |
| Special Powers | Dre-ka'ar have the weakest intensity of flame. The heat of their flame is moderate at best (7-14), but their control can go quite high (7-19). They can sense fire more keenly than most, & they are almost completely immune to it. |
| Culture | As the bottom rung of the caste system, the dre-ka'ar are extremely subservient. Those who are not either starve or go "free," entering outside socieities. They serve as servants in ka'ar society & do the most menial of tasks. |
| Notables | Carhash El'Hakim rose from dre-ka'ar status to eld-ka'ar status without aide of prayer or magic. His secret is the fixation of many-a wandering ka'ar. |
| Weaknesses | Submersion in water can kill a dre-ka'ar. |
