Born to a shellen family in Maraddon, Doffer found that his two greatest resources were his politeness & his shell. He found that he could talk his way out of almost anything, & on his lifequest to find a home, he soon found his skill was useful to local nobles. He began offering them to people in disputes, & ended up coming to the attention of then-Archduke Hyun.

Doffer joined the diplomatic corps as an aide, & during the Civil War, he became an integral member of the court, so that by the end, when a call for those who had Served came, he was grante the title of Count.

Doffer's skill was hardly sufficient, however, to keep him from being killed, flayed, cooked, & eaten by the ogrish Emperor. His simple politeness was no match for the Emperor's bad mood that night. He died on May 26, 695.
