Darts are known for soaring and hovering in flight. They are talented with any flight-based skills, in fact, and they are known for their hunting abilities.

There are six main tribes of darts: the Ika'ii, the Nua'rath, the Minag, the Ulet'roe, the Shisham, and the Koriol. The Ika'ii are noted for their black wings, their raucous parties, and their hovering skills. They live in communal roosts and lay cream colored eggs with red spots.

The Nua'rath have black shoulder feathers, live in monogamous pairs, use whistles to intimidate prey, and harsh calls for alarms. They hunt in pairs and have a beautiful circling courtship dance.

The Minag have a distinct M or W shape on the edge of their wings. They have red eyes and are the only nocturnal darts. They have a loud kacking call and a moderate chirping call. They prefer semi-arid environments.

The Ulet'roe have sharply forked tails and live in woodlands. They are known for their skills at traversing said woodlands.

The Shisham are larger and red in body, tail, and wing. They are known for their elegance of movement and their dihedral soaring posture. They are sensitive to toxins and prefer to remain in one small area.
